Otto Maier

Otto Maier ( born December 23, 1887May 29, 1957 ) was a German rower, the 1912 Olympic champion in the four with coxswain.

Otto Maier from Frankfurt rowing club of 1865 was one of two control men in Stockholm supported the coxless four of the Ludwigshafen Rowing Club at the Olympic Games in 1912, because there only the four with coxswain was advertised. The Ludwigshafen Albert Arnheiter, Rudolf Fickeisen, Hermann Otto Fickeisen Wilker and defeated their guest helmsman in the first race the only boat of the Swedish hosts, in the quarterfinals had no opponent in the semifinals and beat the Danish boat.
