Sabran

Sabran is a commune with 1800 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Gard in the Languedoc- Roussillon region; it belongs to the district Nîmes and the canton of Bagnols -sur -Cèze.

Geography

The municipality is located west of Bagnols -sur -Cèze on the banks of the river Céze. Next to the main town Sabran It includes seven hamlets, of which Carmes, Colombier, Combe and Donnat lie in the plane of the river. Cadignac, Charavel and MEGIER are mostly on a high plateau, while Sabran itself is situated in a saddle between the hills.

The neighboring communities of Sabran are Saint -Michel- d'Euzet and Saint- Gervais in the north, Bagnols -sur -Cèze in the east, in the southeast Tresques, Saint -Pons- la -Calm and Cavillargues in the south and Saint -Marcel -de- Careiret, Saint -André- d'Oléargues and La Roque- sur -Cèze in the West.
