Servières-le-Château

Servières -le- Château is a commune with 668 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Canton de Saint-Privat. The inhabitants call themselves Servierois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central in the Xaintrie and is surrounded by vast forests, to the northwest is the dam of the reservoir of Chastang ( Barrage du Chastang ) about two kilometers away. Tulle, prefecture of the department, is located approximately 38 kilometers north-west and Argentat twelve kilometers south-west.

Neighboring communities of Servières -le- Château are Bassignac -le-Haut in the north, Darazac in the Northeast, Saint-Privat in the east, Saint- Eulalie - ô -Merle in the southeast, Hautefage in the south, Saint -Martial- Entraygues in the southwest as well as Saint- Martin-la- Méanne in the West.
