Sint -Lievens -Houtem is a Belgian municipality located in the Denderstreek in the Flanders region with 9985 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). The municipality has a total of five boroughs, Bavegem, Letterhoutem, Sint -Lievens -Houtem, Vlierzele and Zonnegem. The Molenbeek runs through Letterhoutem, Vlierzele and Zonnegem.

Aalst is located 13 kilometers east, Ghent and Brussels 15 km northwest about 36 km to the east.

The next highway exits are located in the north near Wetteren and Erpe -Mere on the A10 / E 40

In Herzele, Oosterzele, Melle and Erpe -Mere offers the nearest regional stations and in Ghent and Brussels also keep on regional express trains.
