Soursac

Soursac ( Sorçac in Occitan - Chourcha pronounced ) is a commune with 497 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The inhabitants call themselves Soursacois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central, the river Luzège, about four miles north of the Dordogne Dam Barrage de - l'Aigle and is surrounded by extensive forests. Tulle, prefecture of the department is approximately 45 kilometers west and Égletons about 20 miles northwest.

Neighboring communities of Soursac are Saint- Pantaleon -de- Lapleau and Latronche in the north, Sourniac in the east, in the southeast Chalvignac, Rilhac- Xaintrie and Auriac south, Laval -sur- Luzège in the west and Lapleau in the northwest.
