Tanju Çolak

Tanju Çolak ( born November 10, 1963 in Samsun ) is a former Turkish football player.

Career

Tanju first played at Samsun Yolspor, where he in 1983/84 and 1984/85 top scorer in the Turkish league was second in the season. The following year he moved to the first league to Samsunspor. There he was in the years 1985 /86 and 1986/87 twice top scorer in the Turkish league.

In 1987 he moved to Galatasaray, where he scored in his first year 39 league goals and was honored by UEFA Golden Shoe. This was before any other Turkish football player.
