Terzo d'Aquileia

Terzo d' Aquileia ( Friulian: Tierç or Tiars ) is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2879 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Udine in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The municipality is situated approximately 38 km south-southeast of Udine, on the border with the province of Gorizia. A small part of the municipal boundary comes close to the Laguna Silisia.

History

The community was until the end of World War I part of the county of Gorizia and Gradisca, where she was placed under the jurisdiction Cervignano, which in turn was part of the district Monfalcone.

Traffic

Passing through the municipality, the former State Road 352 di Grado (now a regional road ) from Udine to Grado.
