Verolanuova
Verolanuova is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8157 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The community is located about 27 kilometers southwest of Brescia and about 20 kilometers north-east of Cremona. South of the village flows the Oglio.
History
The surroundings of Verolanuova was the settlement area of the Celtic Cenomani. The present settlement probably derives from a foundation in the 14th century and is therefore relatively young.
Traffic
East of Verolanuova leads the Autostrada A22 from Turin to Brescia. The nearest port is in Manerbio. The Verolanuovas railway station is on the railway line Brescia - Cremona.
