1946–47 Soviet League season

The season 1946/47 was the first season of A as Klass highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the first time the Dynamo Moscow.

Mode

The twelve teams in the Klass A were divided into three groups of four teams each. In the main round of this contest each one game against every other group opponents, so that the total number of matches per team was three. The respective group winners then qualified for the final round, in which the Soviet champion has been played, each team met in return game to the other two teams. The four highest point totals after the main round group winners played in each one game against each other for fourth place. For the remaining teams, the season was ended prematurely. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
