1969–70 Soviet League season
The season 1969/70 was the 24th season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total of 15 times CSKA Moscow, while Dynamo Kiev, Lokomotiv Moscow and Sverdlovsk Awtomobilist descended to the second division.
Mode
The twelve teams in the Klass A played in a common main round four times against any opponent, bringing the total number of games per team was 44. The point- best team became champion, during the Ninth had against second division champions in the play-offs and descended the three last placed directly into the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
