1967–68 Soviet League season
The 1967/68 season was the 22nd season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total of 14 times CSKA Moscow, Metallurg Novokuznetsk during relegation to the second division.
Mode
The twelve teams in the Klass A played four games against each opponent, bringing the total number of games per team was 44. The point- best team became champion, while the two last placed in the relegation had to compete against the two second division, who had finished second and third respectively in the season. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.

In the Relegation to Awtomobilist Sverdlovsk could clearly with 8:1 prevail against his rival Metallurg Novokuznetsk League and secure the league in the finally decisive final game. Diselist Pensa remained in the second division. The other person entitled to participate in the second division relegation, crystal Elektrostal, waived his right to participate and voluntarily remained in the second division.
