1952–53 Soviet League season
The season 1952/53, was the seventh season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the third time in WWS MWO Moscow.
Mode
The 17 teams in the Klass A were first divided into three groups with five to six teams. Each team played in the main round once against each group opponent, limiting the number of matches per team either four or five was. Then each group, the top three teams played in round-trip game in a final round for the championship, while the remaining eight teams once each competed against every opponent in the placement round to tenth place. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
