1966–67 Soviet League season
The season 1966/67, was the 21st season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total second time Spartak Moscow, while Torpedo Minsk relegation to the second division.
Mode
The twelve teams in the Klass A played four games against each opponent, bringing the total number of games per team was 44. The point- best team became champion, while the two last placed in the relegation had to compete against the two second division, who had finished second and third respectively in the season. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.

In the Relegation to Metallurg Novokuznetsk was able to prevail and secure the league on goal difference against the league rival Torpedo Minsk. The SK Uritskogo Kazan and Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk remained in the second division. During this Relegation the game line was tested by three officials in the Soviet Hockey for the first time.
