1958–59 Soviet League season

The season 1958/59 was the 13th season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total of seven times the ZSK MO Moscow.

Mode

The 17 teams were divided Klass A pre-season after last year's placement in two groups, with only the participants of the first group were playing for the championship.

Each participant played in the main round three times against each group opponent, limiting the number of matches per team 27 respectively was 24. Champion was the team with the most points. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
