1949–50 Soviet League season

The season 1949/50, was the fourth season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the third time the ZDKA Moscow. The WWS MWO Moscow lost on January 5, 1950 a large part of his team in a plane crash and had to play to end the season with an almost completely new team.

Mode

The twelve teams in the Klass A played against any opponent in return game, so the number of matches per team was 22. Master was the best team in point, while the table last relegation to the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
