1970–71 Soviet League season

The 1970/71 season the Wysschaja League was the 25th season of the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total of 16 times CSKA Moscow, while Sibir Novosibirsk relegation to the second division.

Mode

The nine teams in the league played Wysschaja in a common main round five times against any opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team was 40. The point- best team became champion, while the table last descent directly to the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
