1957–58 Soviet League season

The season 1957/58 was the twelfth season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total of six times the ZSK MO Moscow, while descended same six teams in the second division due to a reduction leagues for next season.

Mode

The 16 teams in the Klass A were divided into the main round in four groups of four participants, each team should complete six games. Ultimately, however, was omitted to host multiple games. Then each group, the two best teams played in the final round, in which she played four times against each group opponent, limiting the number of matches per team was 28. Champion was the team with the most points in the final round. The remaining eight teams played against each other for the league, said after the 28 games were the two best teams in the relegation round in the Klass A and descended the other six teams.
