Armo

Armo ( in Ligurian: Armu ) is a municipality with 120 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia.

Geography

Armo is located at the head end of a side of Arogna, a tributary of the Arroscia. The community is located at the foot of Monte Rocca delle Penne. Armo is part of the Alta Valle Arroscia and is about 31 kilometers from the provincial capital of Imperia.

According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity, the community of Zone 3 was assigned. This means that Armo is in a seismically active zone little.

Climate

The municipality is classified under climate category E, since the number of degree days has a value of 2536. This means that in Italy legally regulated heating season is between October 15 and April 15, for 14 hours each day.
