Aruba at the Olympics
Aruba, which was NOK (Comité Olímpico Arubano ) founded in 1985 and recognized in the following year by the IOC since 1988 takes part in the Olympic Summer Games. At Winter Games, the Dutch part of the Caribbean island state did not participate so far.
A total of 26 participants were sent, including seven women. Athletes from Aruba could yet win any medals.
The swimmer Roshendra Vrolijk was in 2000 in Sydney youngest participant with 15 years of Aruba. Austin Thomas, gone at the 1988 fencing competitions at the start, was the oldest athlete with 49 years.
