Niger at the Olympics

Niger, the NOK, the Comité Olympique et Sportif National du Niger, was founded in 1964 and recognized in the same year by the IOC since 1964, he took part in the Olympic Summer Games. 1976 included one at the African boycott of the Games of Montreal. 1980 remained the Nigerien team games away from Moscow. At the Winter Games No athletes have so far been sent.

A total of 36 participants were sent, including eight women. First and so far only medalist boxer Issaka Daboré who won a bronze medal in 1972 in the light welterweight.

2012 went with the 14 -year-old swimmer Nafissatou Adamou the youngest participant of Niger at the start. The oldest participant was in 2012 with 35 years of rowers Hamadou Djibo Issaka.
