Avdiivka

Awdijiwka (Ukrainian Авдіївка, Russian Авдеевка / Awdejewka ) is a city in the Donetsk Oblast in Ukraine with 35 194 inhabitants ( 2013).

History

Awdijiwka was founded in the mid-18th century, making it one of the oldest towns of the Donets Basin. 1956 Awdijiwka received city rights. Since 1965, operates in the city's tram Awdijiwka.
