Bohemia at the Olympics

Bohemia and Moravia, an autonomous region of Austria -Hungary took part in three Olympic Games. After the First World War, the region became part of the newly formed Czechoslovakia. Bohemian and Moravian athletes participated from now on part of the team of Czechoslovakia.

A total of 60 participants were sent, including a woman. Four medals were won.

The youngest team member in 1912 of the cyclist Bohumil Rameš who went to the start at the age of 17 years. The fencer Vilém Goppold of Lobsdorf was the oldest participant in 1912 with 42 years.

OIympische interludes 1906

13 athletes, only men participated in 1906 at the interludes of Athens in part. Two bronze medals were won. Zdeněk Žemla won bronze in the men's singles and men's doubles here with Ladislav Žemla, with whom he was not related.

Hedwiga Rosenbaumová won with the British Archibald Warden the bronze medal in mixed doubles tournament. The medal is listed in the Olympic history of mixed teams.
