Corcelles- près -Concise is a municipality in the district of Jura-Nord Vaudois in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

Geography

Corcelles- près -Concise situated at 470 meters above sea level. M., 9 km north-east of the district capital Yverdon- les- Bains ( straight line ). The village is located at the foot of the Jura, on a small hill at the foot of Mont Aubert, near the shores of Lake Neuchâtel.

The area of ​​4.1 km ² large municipality area includes a section on the western shore of Lake Neuchâtel. The communal land extends from the lake with shallow riparian strips northward over the knoll of Corcelles and the densely forested slopes of the Jura way up to the crest of Mont Aubert. Of the 95.7 % inhabitants are French-speaking, German-speaking 3.6 % and 0.7 % in English (as of 2000). The population of Corcelles- près -Concise amounted in 1888 to 295 inhabitants, it took until 1970 to 201 residents from, and since then has made a slight upward trend observed.

Economy

History
