Denney, Territoire de Belfort

Denney ( formerly German Düringen ) is a town in the French department of Territoire de Belfort in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Denney is on 352 m above the sea, about five kilometers northeast of the town of Belfort ( a straight line ). The village is located in the lowlands of the Burgundian Gate, on the plateau south of the Forêt de Roppe near the Vosges mountains, the village river to the west of the river the Autruche.

History

Is first mentioned Denney in 1344. From 1347 the German name comes Thiengen. Population

With 781 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) Denney is one of the small communities of the department of Territoire de Belfort. Economy and infrastructure
