Foton Motor

Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd.. is derived from the People's Republic of China company, which is engaged in the production of trucks, vans, buses and commercial vehicles. It was founded by Jia Qinglin ( CPPCC Chairman) on 28 August 1996 as a state-owned company with a capital of 5 billion Chinese yuan.

With two years of construction of the halls production began in the summer of 1998. Currently, the company employs 28,000 people and is on the " ranking list of automotive industry " (Top 500 China 's Most Valuable Brands) went up to fourth place. Per year, the company produced 1,000,000 units, setting a new production record in China.

Already within the first eight years, the company was able to win Dealers in other countries and is now represented in all of Southeast Asia, some countries in Africa, the Middle East and South America.

With this success, the company now intends to establish itself as an independent company until 2010 and completely detach from the Chinese government.

Since 2012, the 50:50 joint venture BFDA is with Daimler AG. In this joint venture, Foton has introduced its production of Auman.
