Gervais Yao Kouassi ( born May 27, 1987 in Anyama ), short Gervinho, is an Ivorian football player. The striker played for the 2013/14 season at Roma and is also active in the Ivorian national team.

Career

In the club

Gervinho was trained in the Jean -Marc Guillou academy ASEC Abidjan and moved to Europe in 2004 to the Belgian club KSK Beveren. After another year in his youth, he made ​​his debut in 2005 in the Jupiler League and came in the next two years to 61 league operations.

In July 2007 Gervinho was committed with his two compatriots and team-mates Zito and Sekou Ouattara for a total of 650,000 euros from UC Le Mans.
