Green Acres is a city in Palm Beach County in the U.S. state of Florida with 37 573 inhabitants ( 2010).
Geography
Green Acres is located about 9 km from the sea in the middle of Palm Beach County. The next largest cities in the county are Wellington with about 12 km and Boynton Beach, about 15 km away.
Demographics
According to the 2010 census, the then 37 573 inhabitants distributed to 17,249 households. The population density was 3105.2 inh. / Km ². 67.0 % of the population were white, 17.0% African American, 0.7 % Native American and 3.0 % Asian Americans. 9.1% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.2% in different ethnic groups. 38.3 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.
In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 32.4 % of all households lived in 35.4 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 65.6 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.61 persons and the average family size is 3.17 people.

The larger airports, the Fort Lauderdale airport with about 65 km away and the Miami airport with about 110 km away, are easily accessible through the past leading east from Green Acres Interstate 95. West of the city runs the Florida 's Turnpike. Both motorways are connected by the Florida State Road 802, which runs through Green Acres.

The crime rate in 2010 was 352 points ( U.S. average: 266 points ) within the average range. There were two murders, 15 rapes, 60 robberies, 102 injuries, 342 burglaries, 651 thefts, 64 auto thefts and two arsons.
