Gulf Stream is a city in Palm Beach County in the U.S. state of Florida with 786 inhabitants (as of 2010).
Geography
The city is located on a barrier island elongated along the Atlantic Ocean. It leads directly to the north of Briny Breezes, in the west on Boynton Beach and south to Delray Beach. Due to the metropolitan area leads the Florida State Road A1A.
Demographics
According to the 2010 census, the then 786 inhabitants distributed in 525 households. The population density was 413.7 inh. / Km ². 98.5 % of the population were white, 0.3% African American, 0.0% Native American and 0.6 % Asian Americans. 0.5 % were members of other ethnic groups and 0.1 % of various ethnicities. 4.3% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.
In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 54.6 % of all households lived in 18.0 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 69.5 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.18 persons and the average family size is 2.59 people.
16.9% of the population were younger than 20 years, 8.2% were 20 to 39 years old, 29.0% were 40-59 years old and 46.1% were at least 60 years old. The median age was 58 years. 49.9 % of the population were male and 50.1 % female.

The crime rate in 2010 was 109 points ( U.S. average: 266 points ) in the low range. There was an assault, four burglaries and eight thefts.
