Großhart is a municipality with 632 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district Fürstenfeld and in the political district of Hartberg - Fürstenfeld in Styria ( Austria ). From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Hartl and Tiefenbach bei Kaindorf, the new community will be known as "Big Hard ".

Geography

Geographical Location

Großhart located in the south of the district of Hartberg about 12 km south of the district capital Hartberg and about 40 km east of the provincial capital of Graz. The municipality is located in the hills of Eastern Styria and is located on hard pond. It is drained by the Harter Bach and the Mühlbach, the flow at Hainersdorf in the Feistritzwerke.

The community Großhart consists of the cadastral hard and Neusiedl or from the villages Großhart (519 Ew. ) And Neusiedl (population 2001) in (133 Ew. ).

On 20 November 2011, the voters of the municipalities Dienersdorf, Ebersdorf, Großhart, Hartl, Hofkirchen voted in Hartberg, Kaindorf and Tiefenbach bei Kaindorf as to whether, these seven churches are to be merged into a great community. With a turnout of 65.66 % total of 3351 valid votes were counted. Of these, only 436 voters spoke (13% ) for a merger of the municipalities, while 2915 voters (87% ) voted against a merger. This clearly rejected the plans of the Styrian Provincial Government was granted.

Traffic

Großhart is located on the main road of Bad Walter village after Pischeldorf in Styria. The South A 2 motorway from Vienna to Graz can be reached in about five miles above the junction Sebersdorf / Badwaltersdorf (126). The change road B 54 from Hartberg to track village can be reached in Pischeldorf in about twelve kilometers.

Großhart has no rail connection. The nearest railway station is at about six kilometers away in Bad Walter village and provides access to the spa with two hourly train regional train connections to Vienna and Hartberg or Fehring.

Graz Airport is approximately 65 km away.

The Harter pond has an area of ​​13 hectares and has for its size with a rich stock of fish, including carp, catfish, pike and zander. The pond is therefore very popular among anglers.
