Ippling

Ippling ( German Iplingen ) is a commune with 759 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Sarreguemines Sarreguemines and Canton -Campagne.

Geography

The municipality is located immediately west of Ippling Sarreguemines, on the highway to Saint -Avold at an altitude 208-298 m above sea level. The municipality covers 3.29 km ².

History

The village was first mentioned in 1267 as Ilbinga. Then Ipplingen (1700) and Iplingen (1751 ).
