Kırklareli Province

Kırklareli is a province in the European part of Turkey ( Eastern Thrace ), which extends on the Balkan peninsula and is one of the geographical and historical region of Thrace. Its capital is Kırklareli.

Geography

The Yıldızgebirge ( Istranca, and beach damage ) divides the province Kırklareli into two sections.

The Black Sea coast of the province Kırklareli boasts beaches and many fish restaurants. 98 km east of Kırklareli İğneada is nestled between the sandy beaches and the Yıldız Mountains. Another resort is Kıyıköy.

History

Even in prehistoric times, the region was inhabited by Kırklareli. The Archaeological Institute of the University of İstanbul digs since 1993 together with the German Archaeological Institute two prehistoric settlements. The Neolithic Tell Aşağı Pınar dated to a period 5900-5000 BC, the Bronze Age settlement Kanlıgeçit contrast, in the third millennium BC Furthermore, several Iron Age grave mounds from the environment known. Attractions
