Peter Fröjdfeldt

Peter Fröjdfeldt ( born November 14, 1963 in Eskilstuna ) is a Swedish former FIFA referee. He gained as a referee during the European Championship in 2008 and as head of the final match in the UEFA Cup 2007/ 08 between Zenit St. Petersburg and Glasgow Rangers in Manchester Special awareness.

Career

Fröjdfeldt debuted in 1992 in Sweden as a referee in the fünftklassigen Division 4 In the following years he went through the next higher leagues, so he came to his debut in Allsvenskan 1997. Since 2001 he is also active referee at international level and is considered the successor of the famous Swedish referee Anders Frisk. Especially from 2007, he moved increasingly into the focus of attention. So the management of the decisive game was conferred on him in qualifying for Euro 2008 between the English and the Croatian national team and he whistled several games in the knockout round of the Champions League. In May 2008, he led the UEFA Cup final and came in June, several times as referees and the fourth official at the European Championships for use and was supported there by his assistant Stefan Witt Berg and Henrik Andrén.

In December 2008 Fröjdfeldt ended his career as a referee, to devote himself increasingly to his family and his profession can. Full-time passes Fröjdfeldt in his hometown of Eskilstuna Munktellarenan, a hall for various sports.
