Pichucalco

Pichucalco is a municipality in the north of the Mexican state of Chiapas. The municipality is situated on the edge of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas. The name of this place comes from Nahuatl and means "house of the wild boar ."

The municipality has about 30,000 inhabitants and an area of 595.1 km ². Administrative seat and largest town of the Municipalities is the same Pichucalco.

Pichucalco borders the municipalities of Juárez, Ixtapangajoya, Ixtacomitán, Chapultenango, Francisco Leon, Ostuacan and Sunuapa and to the state of Tabasco.
