Tuxtla Chico is a municipality in the Mexican state of Chiapas, located in the south of the state. The municipality is located in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas. The name of this place comes from Nahuatl and means " place of the rabbit ".

The municipality has about 37,000 inhabitants and is 161.9 square meters. Administrative seat and largest town of the Municipalities is the same Tuxtla Chico. The municipality borders the municipalities of Tuxtla Chico Cacahoatán, Tapachula, Frontera Hidalgo and Metapa and to the Republic of Guatemala.
