Comments

Verse 1-3

Jörg Jeremias turns out strong relationship of the verses to Isaiah. He will find formulations which are actually characteristic of the exile prophets. Thus we find, for example, the phrase " sing to the Lord a new song " ( שירו ליהוה שיר חדש ) exactly the same as in the words of Deutero Isaiah 42,10 EU or " His holy arm " (v. 1) in Isa 52,10 EU.

Verse 4-6

The occurring in these verses sound of exultation ( הריעו - " joyful noise " ), supported by the addition of drawing instruments (zither, trumpets and trombones ) characterizes the Psalm very strong. The presence of musical instruments is not atypical for the genus of the hymns.
