Attractions

Since about 1100 there was a Cluniac monastery in Rodengo, which was dedicated to St. Nicholas. In the early Late Middle Ages, the monastery life was there to decay, so that the old abbey was handed over to monks of the Order of the reform Olivetans in the 15th century. The new monks led the reconstruction of the imposing monastery. The present buildings are from the 15-16. Century. 1797 the monastery was suppressed. It was not until 1969 Olivetans Abbey San Nicola was again repopulated by monks of the Order. Of particular concern are the abbey church and the Great cloister from the 15th century
