Roman Catholic Diocese of Ketapang

The Diocese of Ketapang (Latin: Dioecesis Ketapangensis ) is located in Indonesia Roman Catholic diocese based in Ketapang.

History

The Diocese of Ketapang was posted on June 14, 1954 by Pope Pius XII. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate Pontianak built as Apostolic Prefecture of Ketapang. The Apostolic Prefecture Ketapang was born on January 3, 1961 by Pope John XXIII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quod Christ to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Pontianak is a suffragan. On April 9, 1968, the Diocese of Ketapang were from parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Prefecture Sekadau.
