Roman Catholic Diocese of Sanggau

The diocese Sanggau (Latin: Dioecesis Sanggauensis ) is a location in Indonesia Roman Catholic diocese based in Sanggau.

History

The diocese was Sanggau, 9 April 1968 by Pope Paul VI. out of territory of the Archdiocese of Pontianak and Ketapang of the diocese established as Apostolic Prefecture Sanggau. The Apostolic Prefecture Sanggau was brought on 9 June 1982 by Pope John Paul II to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Pontianak is a suffragan.
