Roman Catholic Diocese of Timika

The Diocese of Timika (Latin: Dioecesis Timikaënsis ) is located in Indonesia Roman Catholic diocese based in Timika.

History

The Diocese of Timika was established on 19 December 2003 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Supernum Evangelizationis out of territory of the Diocese of Jayapura and Merauke to the archbishopric a suffragan. First bishop was John Philip Saklil.
