Ted Risenhoover

Theodore Marshall Risenhoover ( born November 3, 1934 in East Liberty, Haskell County, Oklahoma; † September 10, 2006 in Claremore, Oklahoma ) was an American politician. Between 1975 and 1979 he represented the second electoral district of the state of Oklahoma in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Theodore Risenhoover visited the Stigler High School and 1960-1961, the University of Alabama. He then continued to 1965 continued his education at Northeastern State University of Oklahoma. Between 1955 and 1963 he was a member of the U.S. Air Force, which enabled him to study in Alabama. After his military and university Risenhoover went into the newspaper business. In 1965 he became co-owner and president of a publishing house in Tahlequah. Between 1970 and 1974 he was also Superintendent ( Crime Commissioner) in the second district of Oklahoma.

As a member of the Democratic Party, he was a delegate to the national interim Congress 1974. In the congressional elections this year Risenhoover was selected in the second district of Oklahoma in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he Clem McSpadden replaced on January 3, 1975. After a re-election in 1976 he was able to implement his mandate in Congress until January 3, 1979. In 1978, he was not nominated by his party. After he retired from politics.
