Tom Sestito

Tom Sestito ( born September 28, 1987 in Rome, New York ) is an Italian- American ice hockey player in the position of left winger. Since March 2013 he is with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League contract. His brother Tim is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Sestito began his career at Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League ( OHL ), where he played in the 2004/05 season with his older brother Tim Sestito in a team. After two seasons in the OHL was selected in the third round than a total of 85 players from the Columbus Blue Jackets Tom Sestito in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006. The offensive player then completed yet another season in the Ontario Hockey League, at the end he won with the Plymouth Whalers of the J. Ross Robertson Cup and the fact his team earned a participation in the Memorial Cup in 2007. In this tournament, the Whalers dropped out to eventual Memorial Cup champion Vancouver Giants in the semifinals. Tom Sestito was there with seven points scorer in five games together with Milan Lucic and Michal Řepík most successful points scorer of the competition.

Then moved Sestito in the organization of the Blue Jackets. However, over the following three and a half years of the links Sagittarius came only on 13 missions for the franchise from the U.S. state of Ohio. The majority of the time spent Tom Sestito in the farm team of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the American Hockey League ( AHL ) Syracuse Crunch and Springfield Falcons. After 14 games for Philadelphia he retired in February 2012, a torn muscle in the groin to, so he had to stop for the rest of the regular season from the league.

On March 1, 2013, the Sestito located on the Waiverliste was selected by the Vancouver Canucks.
