Tremplins du Praz is a ski jumping facility in Courchevel in the French department of Savoie. The complex is also referred to as the " Stade de Saut à ski de Courchevel" ( German ski jumping stadium Courchevel ) or as " Stade Olympique de Courchevel" ( German Olympic Stadium Courchevel ).

History

First ski jumps were in Courchevel already in the 40s of the last century. The first ski jump at the site of today's Olympic Stadium was built in 1944.

In 1990, for the XVI. Olympic Winter Games in Albertville, the hills in the district of Courchevel generously renovated and expanded.

All hills are covered with mats and are now used mainly for training.

Large Hill

The hill is now used for jumping Continental Cup and the FIS Summer Grand Prix. World Cup events will not take place.

Olympic champion was on 16 February 1992, the Finn Toni Nieminen, the team competition on the large hill decided the team from Finland for themselves.

The hill has a valid FIS certificate. On August 14, 2012, the first individual competition of the women found there the first mixed- team competition as part of the Summer Grand Prix and a day later in this competition instead.
