Yevgeny Belyayev

Yevgeny Prokopjewitsch Belyayev (Russian: Евгений Прокопьевич Беляев; born March 20, 1954 in Kirovsk, Murmansk Oblast, † 17 March 2003 ) was a Russian cross country skier who competed for the Soviet Union from 1976 to 1980.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1980 Belyayev won the gold medal with the Soviet 4x10 km relay. Four years earlier he won per an Olympic silver and bronze medal. In the 1978 World Cup, he won two silver medals.
