1995–96 Football League Cup

The League Cup 1995/96 was the 36th edition of the existing since 1960 English League Cup.

The competition started on 14 August 1995 with the First Round and ended on 24 March 1996 with the final at Wembley. The title went to Aston Villa by 3-0 in the final over Leeds United. The club from Birmingham won so after 1961, 1975, 1977 and 1994 for the fifth time the English League Cup. This was previously only Liverpool succeeded. Leeds United went for the first time since winning the title in 1968 in the finals.
