1980–81 Football League Cup
The League Cup 1980/81 was the 21st edition of the existing since 1960 English League Cup.
The competition was launched on 8 August 1980 with the First Round and ended on 1 April 1981 with the second final match at Wembley. The title went to Liverpool, the second division side West Ham United in the final after a 1-1 aet, defeated in the replay 2-1 in the first game. Liverpool won so in his second finals after 1978 for the first time the English League Cup. West Ham went on the end of the season as second division champions on in the First Division.
