2010 UCI Road World Championships
The 77th UCI Road World Championships took place from 29 September to 3 October 2010 in Melbourne instead.
These first Road World Championships that took place in Australia, over 400 cyclists - men and women - in Geelong, 70 kilometers from Melbourne, is expected to compete in the road race and the time trial. The line for the men ran from Melbourne to Geelong. The defending champion in the men's elite, the Australian Cadel Evans lived, earlier in Melbourne.
In April 2010, the Italian chemical company Mapei announced that it will support these world championships financially. From 1993 to 2002, the company had financed sponsor a cycling team.
Three weeks before the World Championships, the track was flooded after days of rainfall. Also, a specially built for the World Cup provisional bridge was affected.

Tony Martin and Bert grave robbers start also in the time trial.

- U23: John Degenkolb, Marcel Kittel, Maximilian May (all Thüringer Energie Team ), David Hessel Barth, Philip Ries (both team Heizomat ) and Michel Koch ( LKT Team Brandenburg). Marcel Kittel is provided for the individual time trial.

Anti- doping conference
Prior to the streets of Geelong World Cup, the University organized an anti-doping conference ( September 27 and 28 ), which was originally supported by the organizers of the World Cup. When it became known that Floyd Landis was invited to this conference, the OK withdrew from the conference.
