Abarth
Abarth is a motor vehicle manufacturers and automotive tuner based in Italy since 1971 and is owned by the Fiat Group. The Abarth name is now used as a brand for especially powerful models of Fiat cars. The company logo shows a scorpion as a reference to the zodiac sign of the company's founder Carlo Abarth.

History
The company Abarth & Co was in Bologna Carlo (actually Karl ) 1949 Abarth, one living in Italy Austrian motorcycle racer and entrepreneur, and Armando Scagliarini founded. The company moved to Turin soon.
When building their own models they specialized in small-volume sports car. The company Abarth became famous as an automotive tuner. In the 1950s and 1960s cars from Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Simca were made suitable for racing. For the Abarth racing team driver drove like:

Carlo Abarth in 1971 sold the company and the naming rights to the Fiat Group. The motor sport department took over, however Abarths former employee Enzo Osella, Osella Squadra Corse of his racing team built on this basis. The acquisition of the automotive division by Fiat brought some changes. Until then, Abarth cars had been run up to 600 race and class wins every year due to the enormous bandwidth of the model range.
