Cessna Citation V

The Citation Encore is a twin-engine business jet the American aircraft manufacturer Cessna Aircraft and belongs to the family of the Citation. Terms of size, it is classified between the Citation Jet series and the Citation XLS. The current market version is the Citation Encore , which is a further development of the Citation Encore.

History

Citation V

The Cessna Citation V ( also Cessna 560) arose from the Cessna Citation II, which is an extended version of the Citation I. The fuselage was again extended by 510 mm. The first prototype made its first flight in August 1987, followed by the approval in December 1988. The engines were from the Citation II, but were slightly modified in order to achieve greater coverage. Until the market execution in 1994 a total of 262 Cessna Citation V were produced and delivered.

Citation Ultra

After 1993 this Cessna decided to overtake the Citation V, the Cessna Citation Ultra, was the biggest change in the engines and a new avionics developed. At the time of market introduction in 1994, the Citation Ultra was named as the best business jets. Until the market version 1999 340 aircraft were built and delivered.

Citation Encore / Encore

The Cessna Citation Encore was approved in April 2000 and delivered in late September for the first time. This variant had two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535A engines and an increased range, which has been achieved by an increase of the tanks.

The Cessna Citation Encore then came two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535B used, with 15.12 kN 14.95 instead of A - variant. The avionics was again revised and equipped with a FADEC system. The approval by the FAA in December 2006, with first delivery in early 2007.

From the U.S. Marine Corps twelve Citation V are used under the names UC -35C Ultra and UC - 35D Encore at four bases in the U.S. and one in Japan. The purchase was made to replace the Beech UC - 12 King Air
