Frasso Sabino
Frasso Sabino is a municipality with 702 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.
Geography
Frasso Sabino is located 56 km northeast of Rome and 28 km south of Rieti. It is located in the Sabine mountains above the Valley of Farfa. The municipality covers an altitude 233-470 m asl
The municipality is located in the seismic zone 2 (medium endangered).
The municipality consists of the villages of Casali di Frasso, Immaginetta and the northern part of Osteria Nuova. The southern part belongs to Poggio Moiano.
The neighboring municipalities are Casaprota, Monteleone Sabino, Poggio Moiano Poggio Nativo and Poggio San Lorenzo.
Traffic
The district is located at the Osteria Nuovo Strada Statale 4 Via Salaria (SS 4), which leads from Rome about Rieti to the Adriatic coast.

- The Castello degli Sforza Cesarini dates from the 15th century.
Facilities
In Frasso is the observatory Astronomico Virginio Cesarini Comunale. There, the asteroid ( 34138 ) Frasso Sabino was discovered.
