Montebuono

Montebuono is a municipality with 901 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.

Geography

Montebuono is located 71 km north of Rome, 39 km west of Rieti, and 34 km south of Terni. It is located in the hills of the Bassa Sabina above the Tiber valley. The municipality consists of the villages Fianello and Sant'Andrea. The municipality covers an altitude difference of 74-673 m slm Montebuono is a member of the Comunità Montana Sabina IV Zona.

The municipality is located in the seismic zone 3 (slightly endangered).

The neighboring municipalities are Calvi dell 'Umbria (TR ), Colle Vecchio, Magliano Sabina, Tarano and Torri in Sabina.
